Inspire Independent Reading!

My Project

My students often struggle with sitting under bright white fluorescent lights, in hard uncomfortable seating all day and then be tasked to read. My classroom has limited alternative seating and the bright hum of fluorescent lighting often demotivates students. As a special education teacher, I am tasked to meet every learners needs and to do this I require flexible lighting, seating, and engaging school appropriate reading materials. By providing movement and choice of seating with more flexible seating choices, reduced sensory visual stressors, and school appropriate reading materials, these series, my learners will be more engaged and motivated to improve their individual reading skills.
