My Project
All children should grow up with building blocks, as they provide so many educational benefits. First, building blocks and kits help increase attention spans in young children as they focus on constructing and developing their build. Next, it helps children learn to cooperate with others through play, sharing, taking turns, and working together are all learned through play. Blocks help young children develop both their gross and fine motor skills as they use their muscles while building. Building blocks also incorporate STEM as students work to create, plan, and design structures together.
One of the best ways to learn early math skills is through block play, such as counting, 1:1 correspondence, comparing sizes, and comparing numbers.
Children also develop their language through play as they tend to verbalize their plans aloud as they build. Another significant way blocks help child development is they problem-solve as they build. Finally, young children learn spatial perception, being aware of the environment around them as they build.
