I teach third grade, and my students enjoy working and collaborating together. They want to be successful while working, and I want to provide them with the best learning tools and experience that I can. Technology integration is an imperative and important component of learning that goes on in our classroom everyday, especially when we are reading, writing and doing math.
I want to provide a learning environment that will best support my student's needs.
iPad stands and stylus pens will help them be able to more effectively read and use the technology that they have available.
My Project
Our class has an amazing opportunity with having 1-to-1 iPads at our school. However many children like to have their iPads propped up so that they can complete work both on their iPad and on paper in class. Having stands for each child's iPad will allow for the flexibility in using them. They will be able to have them sitting up when reading or testing, so that they can still complete other connected tasks.
In addition, many of our students struggle with using their fingers to scribe notes or completing drawings on their iPads.
The stylus pens will allow them the same flexibility as writing or drawing on paper and the ability to use great detail with their technology. This will create amazing published pieces with great detail along with the ability to more directly highlight or mark up a text and take notes easier.
