My Project
Our children are the future of our world. But so many of them lack the tools and resources needed to feel and express their emotions in a way that is effective and beneficial to their overall wellbeing. Their little bodies often have BIG emotions and I believe it is our responsibility to ensure that they have a safe place to learn how to properly communicate what they are feeling and handle it appropriately. Though it is not always easy, and no one method is foolproof, I believe that with as much help and encouragement, they’ll learn how to function well in a world where our emotions often times get the better of us. As a Specials/Connections/SEL teacher, I have been afforded the privilege and opportunity of interacting with all students at my school. This project would not just help ONE particular classroom, but potentially ALL classrooms. Ultimately, the goal is to effectively help and inspire all the students with the hope that they’ll take what they’ve learned and apply it to their own lives and continue on as they go and grow. The task may be great, the mission may seem risky, but I believe it is truly possible; and most of all, completely worth it.
