This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a beautiful school nestled in a large urban city. We have a high need population that graces our school. Our school has no extra funds; we are without many things. Kindergarten is a time to explore and realize who you are, who you would want to be, and to feel safe. Unfortunately, almost 40% or more of my students are without many supplies.
As a teacher there is so much I can do, and there is nothing at times I can do, and this is why we need your help.
These children are so thankful, so wonderful and all they need is someone to believe in them. Therapeutic play can serve individual growth purposes. In childhood, therapeutic play serves both social and personal function. Children who have had traumatic experiences can work out their demons encountered by their childhood experience as well as many challenges and anticipations of the future. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and countries; I am so lucky to be their teacher.
My Project
We are learning projects and need supplies supplement their learning of insects, spiders, and also included are some insect specimens and posters to look at...wow! I am also requesting some models to go along with the books we have from other donors choose requests. How cool!! Thank you so much for helping our lovely diverse school.
It has connected me to people who care and want to see that their contribution makes a difference, even 10 dollars towards a project helps.
Little by little everything helps. You will make a HUGE difference by helping me get the needed science supplies for my sweet kindergarten class. Even though this school doesn't, they are all rich in minds and everyone of them is a genius in the making, who knows one day CEO of your company?
