My Project
In Mrs. Moore's Chemistry we do a LOT of brainstorming, scientific conversation, and group collaboration to make sense of science. My students represent 45 different ethnicities from 25 different countries around the world. To encourage students with different backgrounds to dialogue about science requires strategies that engage them with peers, allow them individual processing time, and promote excitement about the content. Pencils and highlighters will be used during individual learning time, while expo markers and post it paper will be used for activities that promote community dialogue in our classroom.
