My Students

We live in northern Maine. My students come primarily from middle to low-income households; therefore resources are often very limited.

I have a classroom full of amazing students!

One of the goals I set for myself was to allow my students the chance to be creative and showcase their own ideas. I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, alternate seating, and various learning opportunities to ensure that each student's needs are met. However, I still feel like my students could grow even more with Stem kits. The Stem resources would promote amazing engineers as they work through challenges while having fun!

My Project

I want to create a learning environment that is rich in exploration and discovery; a place where I can spark interests and have students asking questions. It is my job to give my students meaningful opportunities. I want to get them excited about learning and give them opportunity to try new things, as well as letting them make mistakes so they can continue to grow. A STEM classroom will allow them to problem-solve, explore, collaborate, and test their ideas.

Our students are growing up in an ever-changing world full of endless possibilities. They are eager to learn new things. Their curiosity leads to discovery, inquiry and learning.

We want a classroom learning space with innovative STEM activities. We love hands-on learning and are excited to see what we can create! It would be easier to do more cross-curricular activities with these STEM kits. Learning becomes that much more meaningful. Our classroom would be so grateful to have access to these supplies.
