This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am fortunate to teach an amazing group of third graders. They come from different backgrounds, but in my classroom, we are one and we learn from each other. They demonstrate their uniqueness and strengths through learning and social interactions.
They are creative critical thinkers who engage in their learning by sharing ideas and fostering their talents.
They are highly motivated and ready to practice what they are learning as well as building a community in which we share our experiences and celebrate each other.
My Project
One of my main goals as a teacher is to teach my students how to think critically and solve problems. I strive to provide an environment in which integrated teaching is key. STEM education fosters students natural sense of curiosity and innovation.
Using the STEM Kits will make core subjects like math and science relevant to my students as well as foster creativity and curiosity.
The books provided in this kit will also provide a student friendly explanation of STEM related careers and build on their STEM interest. Through the project based ideas provided in the different kits, my students will be engaged in collaborative activities that connect to solving real world challenges.
The learning labs provided in this bundle will give students the opportunity to explore, experiment, construct and solve problems logically. Creativity leads to innovative thinking which create opportunities for grown and development. Skills that students can learn and retain to become creative adults.
