My Project

As we approach the end of an exciting school year, our 5th-grade students are eager to dive into engaging STEAM projects that spark curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. With your support, we aim to finish the year strong with hands-on activities blending science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). These projects will enhance learning and foster social-emotional growth and environmental awareness.

Project Goals:

Exploring Acid-Base Reactions:

Students will conduct experiments to understand acid-base reactions, using simple household materials to create bath bombs. This hands-on approach helps them grasp everyday chemical reactions.

Creating Art with Discarded Materials:

Students will transform discarded materials into art, learning about material properties and the environmental impact of reuse. This activity promotes artistic expression and sustainability.

SEL Projects During Outdoor Education:

During Outdoor Education, students will engage in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) projects that foster teamwork, resilience, and self-awareness, building community and personal growth.

We plan to purchase engaging STEAM lessons from Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) to access innovative, interactive materials that enhance our curriculum and cater to diverse student needs.
