Innovation Lab for Future Success

Help me give my students 2 Dremel 3D Printers, Oculus Go VR Headsets, MERGE Cube VR Sets, Micro:Bits coding computers, Tello Drone Quadcopters, a Lenovo Thinkpad and more to create an Innovation Lab for our school.

My Students

Our school is located in a rural, mountainous, and geographically remote area of West Virginia. Over three-quarters of our students come from low-income households. To ensure these students are College and Career Ready when they graduate high school, we need to give them rich learning experiences with problem solving and creative design.

Creating a Makerspace/Innovation Lab at our school will give students experiences with new, emerging technologies that can excite and motivative them to consider careers in STEM fields.

My Project

Creating an Innovation Lab at our school is a dream come true. This lab will give 800+ students hands-on experiences with creative design, problem solving, and truly immersive learning. This cutting edge equipment will be available for all teachers to use with their classes. Students will also be able to use the equipment in a supervised after school innovation club/open lab setting.

Students will be able to create projects for class assignments in all subject areas, apply coding skills with drones and coding kits, and use virtual reality to immerse in learning like never before.

This Innovation Lab will help the students engage and learn with several of the essential eight technologies to help them be college and career ready for our every changing future.
