This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are part of a diverse community living in the heart of San Jose, California. They show curiosity about how the world works around them and how to make it a better place. They love sharing their genuine selves and express how much they feel like they belong at KPA. I want to make sure that they have resources available to them to continue broadening their learning with art and stem.
My Project
The use of LEGO education sets will provide my students with an opportunity to learn about the world of robotics. They'll be given access to resources that might not be readily available to them. They will be able to apply programming basics, physical designing, and building. In addition, they will be able to collaborate with classmates as a team to create solutions to accomplish small and big missions. With these sets, my students will have constant engagement with these projects while excelling in art, science, math, reading, and writing standards. Not only will they gain multiple skills, but they will also be able to apply those skills towards mastering content in other subjects and carry that knowledge in their future education.
