Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students attend elementary school level and reside in one of the poorest congressional districts of our nation. The children receive special education services in an Integrated Collaboration Teaching (ICT) setting.
Students with disabilities who receive Integrated Co-Teaching services are educated with age-appropriate peers in the general education classroom.
ICT provides access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction to meet students' individual needs.
These students are motivated and eager to learn. Regardless of their status quo, they attend school every day ready to learn and succeed.
A large percentage of my students live in unstable housing conditions in the South Bronx.
Therefore, I believe that my students should have the opportunity to have all the materials they need in the classroom to thrive and for that reason, I am requesting the following materials: ink cartridges and copy paper to duplicate assignments centered upon ELA and Math. These materials will also be used to duplicate fun and engaging activities related to STEAM activities and homework.
