Remember the fun of free-play at recess? The BEST time of the day! My students love to jump rope, play soccer, and shoot hoops during recess, but there's never enough equipment for everyone. This grant will help my fifth graders stay fit and healthy through active play at recess.
My students are a big-hearted group of fifth graders in North Carolina.
Our school is racially, culturally, and economically diverse, and we are proud of the culture of success we have created that celebrates our differences and the unique qualities of each individual.
My Project
In my classroom, the technology, materials, and workspace are all shared. I enjoy having enough supplies on hand to ensure that each of my students can freely use the materials they need. I want them to be reassured that the work my fellow teachers and I assign is doable, so I allow them to print for my class and other classes. I enjoy allowing my students to create with their one-to-one Chromebooks, and to make their work visually appealing. For this reason, we need a printer in the classroom that is easy to access for on-the-spot printing.
This printer will let me empower my students to achieve their academic goals without worrying about having access to a printer at home.
They will be able to print at school in my classroom, for any subject. This allows them to flourish and shine and to focus and learning. It's what school should be about.
