This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an amazing group of second and third graders who attend a Title I school in Los Angeles, California. They are eager and excited to learn and they work hard every day to do just that. Eighty-four percent of the students qualify for free school lunch. Most come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Some are English language learners and a few have special needs.
I am requesting HP color ink so I can print learning resources that will be bright and interesting to inspire, facilitate creativity, and boost student engagement.
Based on my students needs, I search for learning resources for them to engage with during small group instruction, also known as, Academy time. Unfortunately, I have met my color copy quota already so I need to print them at home. Black and white copies are just not as engaging. Color copies hold their attention and keep them interested.
