My students need toner and copy paper for our printer to keep it running efficiently.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach three class of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders Science and Social Studies. Our school is located in a low-income, high-crime area. I see that my students are faced with challenges both inside and outside the classroom. However, I do all that I can to provide an environment that is consistent, fun and engaging so they can get the most out of their days in my room.
My students are creative, clever, and very unique.
They like to move, and they love to receive lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and some in non-English-speaking families. They all receive a free breakfast and lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
My Project
One of the most convenient items I am able to have in my classroom is a printer with a copier attached. There have been many instances where my students lost their homework assignment, or an important paper that needed to go home. Sometimes, they needed to print out the essay they're working on in class.
Whatever the reason, we depend on the printer, sometimes a little too much.
I am asking for copy paper so we have a steady supply of paper to use, toner to keep the ink flowing and a surge protector to keep the printer safe in case of a storm.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
