This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I need a new reading log!" A statement any teacher loves to hear - students are reading, and logging, so much that they need a new log, but without a functional printer, I cannot provide that for them!

Every student learns differently, and teaching in a self-contained special education class we have many different learning styles and personalities.

My students work hard every day towards achieving the same academic goals as their general education peers. The disabilities of the students in my class include autism, speech and language impairments, and learning disabilities.

My students come from low income homes, and many of their parents have difficulty reading, writing, and helping with homework! My students need to know that they CAN do it, with YOUR help, of course!

My Project

With only 12 students in my class, it is sometimes difficult to get our copies quickly through the school copiers. Having the necessary printer ink for our classroom is essential to the needs of our classroom. The ink I am requesting for our classroom will supply our printer with enough ink to last the entire school year!

Providing my students with ink for our printer will help them learn with the new Common Core Curriculum.

Since we have a new curriculum, many of our old posters, charts, and signs are outdated. We have all new things to make and teach. Many times our students want to "take this home to mom," and with additional ink and copy paper, it is much easier to send home a copy to their excited parents!

This project is so important to me because my students need ink for our classroom computer. The ink is very expensive, and hard to get towards the middle/end of the school year! I need to make sure that my students never run out of the ink or copy paper that they need!
