This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is ready to read, write and think, but we need ink!
I teach twenty eight wonderful first graders in a K-8 New York City school.
Each child has a unique learning style and their abilities vary greatly. We are truly a caring classroom community of learners. The students help each other learn. We have fostered this community of learning since the first day of school.
My Project
With the toner for our printer/copier, students will be able to print out resources from the computer. Toner for the copier will allow me to modify some assignments so that all students can feel successful. Many times I need to add lines to an assignment for those students who can "go further" with it. Other times I need to modify an assignment to help struggling students. For example, add a list of words to help students with spelling.
Due to drastic cuts to the education budget, there is no money for toner in the classroom.
Your donation will allow my students to print out needed resources. It will also allow me to quickly modify curriculum in the classroom so that all students feel successful!
