This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Out Of Order! The school year is almost over and we've run out of ink! We have no color ink to make copies of our projects or to print things out for our classroom.

My students need laminating pouches and ink and paper so that we can print out our work!

With these essential supplies in my classroom, my students will be able to print out the necessary pictures to add to their writing. This will alleviate the stress on many of my students who have difficulties drawing pictures to add to their writing.

My Project

Currently, our school only has black and white printers. I purchased a color printer for my classroom. Since we are one of the only classrooms with a color printer, our ink runs out FAST! With only 12 students in our class, it is sometimes difficult to get our copies quickly through the school copiers. Mass copies are usually easier to print. Having the necessary ink for our classroom is essential to the basic needs of our classroom. The ink for our classroom will supply our printer with enough ink to last the entire school year! Providing my students with ink for our printer will help them learn with the new Common Core Curriculum. Since we have a new curriculum, many of our old posters, charts, and signs are outdated. We have all new things to make and teach. Many times our students want to "take this home to mom," and with a color copier, it is much easier to send home a copy to their excited parents!

This project is so important to me because the printer that we are provided with is a black and white printer, and we have been forced to bring in our own personal printers!

Ink is very expensive and runs out very quickly, so we need to make sure that we never run out of ink for our students!
