My Students
My school is situated in a high poverty area. The buildings are old but are organized as a pleasant open-air space. The school is populated by 400 vivacious children who are mild-mannered and eager to learn.
Our school was just granted a STEAM certification designation despite the many challenges that our students are facing; Most of the students in our school are English-language learners.
However, hands-on learning surpasses any language barriers. The students are excited about learning robotics, programming 3D printing and more of the like. They are challenged to learn to work together and solve problems as a team.
My Project
As an Art Teacher in charge of the school's STEAM program, I need to print constantly for my students and myself.
My students need to see colors in their handouts to understand certain visual arts concepts.
Imagine an Art teacher giving students black and white copies of artwork!
I also teach to students participating in specific STEAM programs. They often need to print their work in color. I need extra ink cartridges for this purpose.
I need to have enough ink cartridges to last the year. I cannot afford to run out of ink when printing assignments or students' projects.
More than half of students from low‑income households
