This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of energy, ready to compliment one another and learn. Our days are filled with praise and positivity to increase self-esteem and create an uplifting environment. What better way to begin learning than believing you can do it!
Their greatest efforts to make progress, what may seem like the slightest improvement to the average adult, never goes unseen.
My 12 students have various disabilities ranging from Autism to intellectually disabled. We have a wide range of personalities in our classroom that make the days with them an amazing adventure!
My Project
We are requesting toner cartridges to get through the school year. It will be used to print out assignments, adapted lined paper and symbols. We used adapted lined paper for ALL of our writing assignments because it has a clear boundaries for letter formation. Adapted lined paper is beneficial because it really meets the writing needs for each child as some explore and other enhance writing.
I want my students to love the swirl and swing of words as much as I do.
Since all of our assignments need to be adapted to fit the levels of all students, we use so much ink! I also print images for visual cues during our read aloud periods!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
