This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine viewing a once barren school wall and witness its awesome transformation! With a simple color printer and some ink, students were able to celebrate their accomplishments with the entire school!
My young middle school students have endured in life what most adults have yet to experience, but they still have the courage to continue on.
Battling an environment plagued with poverty, drugs and gang violence, our school strives to provide these students with hope and inspire them to succeed. These young brilliant minds have become shackled to the ideologies of poverty. Teachers at our school have dedicated our lives to liberate them so they can be free. Their determination is amazing and inspiring.
My Project
Resources requested will continue our students' efforts in transforming their school environment by bombarding their once barren school walls with posters of their greatest accomplishments during class. The color ink toner will allow them to hold onto these inspirational moments by transferring their lives from the camera onto the school walls, further bestowing upon them a tangible means of their accomplishments. With their school walls filled with their experiences, they will be able to continue to inspire their peers as well as those outside the school community who venture into our building. They will learn that their lives are significant and their struggles will not be in vain. They will help those students who are just like them to succeed in life.
With resources given to us, I will be able to help these students reach their fullest potential by helping them display their triumphs for all to see.
They will have a concrete example of their brilliant work and will be able to share it with the world!
