Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As the school year soon comes to an end, so does the deadline for my students projects. My students have to complete a portfolio that represents their best work of the year. These ink cartridges will allow them to create, revise, and improve their current work to include amazing work in the portfolio.
I teach a fourth grade group of children.
Our school is located in a high need, low income community where English is not the dominant language for most of our students. My students love it when we use technology to learn new things. Many of our fourth graders do not have access to a printer or copier at home. They always bring their work to be typed and printed in class.
I want to offer my students the tools they need to end our year in a more relaxed way by creating projects and updating their portfolio. It will be used as a promotional criteria.
My Project
With these resources, we will be able to create projects that reflect all the wonderful skills we have learned this year. My students will be able to go back into their portfolio and update work from previous months by typing them or simply adding information found online. The ink toners will allow all of them to print out their new and improved work. We will also be able to create our summer vacation packets so that we don't lose track of our learning.
The funding of this project will make a difference to all my students because they will learn how technology can support and enhance their learning.
I want them to take the work they have done in fourth grade and build on it in years to come. By having these ink toners I will also be able to provide my students and their family with the reports of their progress. You can be a part of this remarkable memory by donating to our project.
