This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Laminating paper and ink are very important to our classroom because that's how the teachers can make homemade education games for our students. After a year of remote learning, our 3 and 4-year-old students need hands-on activities, not more screen time or apps, to practice their academic and social skills in school. There are endless possibilities for homemade education games as long as we have the means to make them.
Many of my students are non-verbal and need printed programs such as Boardmaker to communicate and meet their needs.
With the ink, I will print out visuals weekly to make communication accessible to all students whether they are verbal or not. This will help them develop vocabulary and writing skills. I will also print out games and interactive activities that will help students further develop reading and math skills. Making learning accessible to all students is essential in a special education classroom. My supply is getting low. Please help me continue to make learning possible for all my students.
