My Project
I love how curious, creative, and full of ideas my students are. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring so many unique perspectives into our classroom. Many are still finding their voice in English, and creative writing gives them a powerful, low-pressure way to express themselves, take risks, and grow as thinkers and communicators.
Notebooks may seem simple, but to my students, they are the most powerful tools for creativity, connection, and self-expression.
Each one becomes a personal space to dream, draft, doodle, and develop their writing skills. This project will especially help my ESL students engage more deeply, practice their language skills in meaningful ways, and gain confidence. It also creates opportunities for all students to share their stories, learn from each other, and build a supportive writing community.
