Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work with bilingual students, many of them new to the country. All of them are at different stages of language progression, with the bulk of them at the beginning and emerging stages. A hundred percent of my students come from low income or no income families, and for this reason, all of them receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many parents are unable to provide school supplies, uniforms and pay for school trips.
The school provides many backpacks with school supplies. In addition, uniforms are given to the students due to the fact that they are living in shelters. The school had financial assistance for students who cannot pay to afford to pay edcuational trips. Many of my students arrive very early to school, and at dismissal, wish they could stay.
My Project
For this project, I am requesting 2 2 Brother Genuine High Yield Black Toner Cartridge (TN-760). We recently got a Brother printer thanks to DonorsChoose and the generous donors that made it possible. Now, we need the ink to keep the printer running.
My special needs students would benefit tremendously from having ink in our classroom printer.
With this ink, I will not have to wait for my prep periods or lunch for any copying or printing of differentiated activities for my special needs students. Also, many times the school printer breaks. This ink would eliminate all the problems with printing. Thank you so much for reading!
