My Students
Imagine having a coloring book and only a black and white crayon to use on every page. That's how my students feel as we see beautiful images of animals, maps, and classroom photos on the computer, but we can only print them on a gray scale because of limited ink. Donate some color to our class!
Regardless of what other teachers post on this site, my students are the best in the country.
My students come from a wide variety of ethnic, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds. They all work together in the classroom of our inner city, Title I school, here in South Carolina in way that should be replicated in every classroom across the nation. They are loving, encouraging, and supportive of everyone, and they are the most eager learners. They crave knowledge and every assignment I give them leads them into a new realm of creativity and excitement. While they face many disadvantages, they are always seeking to better themselves at school.
My Project
The 10 packs of Hewlett Packard Ink that I am requesting for my class will have a HUGE impact on my students. In the past our school has been able to provide ink for many projects, but due to budget cuts, ink is no longer a necessity, yet it is so crucial to many classroom projects. The students will be able to print animal and habitat photos for their animal classifications project. They will be able to print maps and pictures of other cultures for our "Around the World" projects. They will be able to create photo journals of their classroom dramas and hands-on science activities to use as a resource after the learning sequences have passed. Through your generous donation my students will see that people in the world care about them just like they care for each other.
School is a safe haven for many of my students.
They are surrounded by love, well fed, and secure. It is here that they learn and create projects to show off that learning.
