Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Throughout the year students write, edit, create, and take photos, but then when it comes time to print their work to share with others, they must be very selective as the class ink supply and copy paper is limited.
The students in my class love to print their work and then display it for all to see...whether it be on the bulletin board, document camera, or on the refrigerator at home.
My students live in a low socio-economic area where the majority receives free or reduced lunches; many live in single parent homes or have family members out of work due to the current employment situation. Some students have computers and some have internet access. The pendulum of haves and have-nots swings wide. That's why it's important that my students have everything they need to be up-to-date with technology in the classroom.
My Project
HP ink for our printer will provide students with more opportunities to print their work and masterpieces. HP paper will be available for printing, homework copies, supplemental math worksheets, handwriting practice and anything else that requires the use of quality copy paper. A supply of HP ink will help to encourage my students to continue to create as they will know that when they are finished they will be able to print their work, not just save it!
As the teacher of these students, nothing disappoints me more than to tell my students the printer is off is because we have no ink or paper.
Our class needs HP printer ink and HP paper to ensure that my students don't hear these daunting words. The HP brand is a staple in our classroom. We'd like to keep our HP technology up and running with the needed HP ink and copy paper.
