This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am thankful to have taught such an inspiring group of 4th grade students this year. They are energetic, appreciative, and willing to work hard to learn new things and develop as young scholars. My students' enthusiasm, creativity, and voice in their work was so inspiring, I am excited to create the same type of deep thinking scientists in my new class.
I want to inspire and encourage my 4th grade magnet students to further develop confidence in all they do; in written and spoken word, in growing and strengthening their work ethic, as well as in developing a healthy and active lifestyle.
We are a learning community within a Title 1 school in a low-income area. Our school is on a free breakfast and lunch program. Students are willing and able to step up with confidence, to challenges, despite their own.
My Project
My students have been so fortunate to gain technology through the kindness of Donorschoose. Their technological knowledge is growing daily but with this growth comes necessary printing. With these new found skills students are excited to produce and present their masterpieces.
With ink we can display our writing, share it with family and school, and become more comfortable with technology and improving our work to a stage of publishing.
Students can also print necessary images, charts, graphs, tables, and all the visual references that help bring their imagination to life. Ink may seem like such a small component but basic necessities are huge contributions in our day to day classroom.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
