My Students
My students are kind, funny, and smart! They persevere through hard times and encourage one another when things are complicated. Sometimes they get down, but they can pick up a positive attitude after a little breather.
Failure is not an option for my students.
My students work hard, and although, my students deserve nothing but the best, they may not get all the things they deserve, that doesn't stop them from pushing harder. My students are apart of the next generation to rise up.
My Project
These books will help my students talk about race. Talk about what is happening in the world and become aware of the injustices happening in the world, and come together to stand up for what they believe in. These books will help them discover their voice and teach them how to use their voice to stand up against racism. Their voice has power, these books will teach them about people they identify with and how they used their voices to make an impact in the world, and teach them that they can do the same.
