This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, the Life Skills students in grades 3-6 are learning how to follow a sequence of directions to complete various tasks.

With these art materials & kits, I will be able to facilitate sequencing lessons during speech sessions that are fun, engaging, and functional.

Hands-on learning is part of the multimodal approach that these students require in order to fully grasp concepts and materials; therefore, using art projects for skill generalization will be a great strategy to assist with carry-over into any setting. (Not to mention having fun crafting at the same time!)
