Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When I decided to accept this job 15 years ago I would never have imagined what would happen over the years. CBHS, home of the Lightning, has the greatest student body in Florida. Over the years we have been featured on a reality show on MTV, have been voted the best student section at basketball games in South Florida, and have won numerous state titles in academic and athletic areas. However, what separates us from other schools is the pride people have in attending CBHS.

With nearly 4,800 students in our school we are a giant melting pot of success!

Each year we deal with challenges, but ultimately we overcome and make this an amazing academic institution.

My Project

With the transformation of social media students in high school rarely look up even while walking to class! However, our school has an amazing cheering section. Most activities take place in the gymnasium where the Boys and Girls Basketball team, Boys and Girls Volleyball Team, and Wrestling team are all featured in thrilling games and matches.

CB prides itself on being a school where students are encouraged to grow and development into independent thinkers.

With over 4,800 students on campus we were searching for another way to communicate with our student body. These amazing LED scrolling signs will allow us to provide information about upcoming club meetings, important test dates, student achievements, etc. Students can us this information to explore new and exciting opportunities on campus. We want our students to look up away from their phones and see the amazing things we have to offer!
