My students need 6 iPad mini 2 tablets, 6 cases, and 6 screen protectors to bring help them acquire the skills necessary to carry them into the 21st century.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching is my passion. I strive to engage my students and make learning a wonderful and exciting experience everyday. Use of technology in the classroom helps bring my students closer to being able to compete in the 21st century. iPads will help my students to achieve this goal.
My student come from various backgrounds.
They are eager learners who thrive on new experiences. They enjoy challenges and the process of learning new skills. My school is a charter school whose main focus is on academic achievement and giving students the tools they need to be lifelong learners who contribute to their community and world around them.
My Project
My students will be able to use the iPads to enhance their learning through group based projects with enhanced media. They will be able to create visual presentations on various content areas and share these with the whole class. They will also be able to access activities that can enhance and extend their learning in a fun and portable way. Ebooks will also be an addition to classroom reading.
Currently my classroom has one working laptop that students can use.
It makes it difficult when assigning a group projects. The current operating system is windows xp so the computer has limited functions and does not work with many of the more current programs. Having iPad minis will give the students the ability to quickly access, work, and share information. Students will be able to work in a more engaged format.
