Indoor Wellness and Exploration

My Project

Play and exploration are the fundamentals of fostering creativity and growth within children. Recess is usually the favorite time of day for children in elementary school because they are given the time to just be a kid. However, without a safe outside play area it can be difficult to provide a chance for students to relax and play during the school day. Unfortunately, our school is currently facing this dilemma as we wait for our playground area to not be under construction.

Through these items I am hoping to provide the opportunity to spark the imagination of my students while also having fun.

The bristle blocks and building blocks create a space for my students to work together and create something new. The magnetic tiles will provide the kids a chance to work with new materials like magnets, and also expose them to some stem elements. Finally, the drawing tablets will allow my students to draw and express themselves without the mess and use of a lot of paper.
