Indoor Recess Supplies for the Win!

Help me give my students a variety of activities that can challenge and entertain them when the weather outside is not cooperating.

My Students

The scholars in my fourth grade classroom are part of our partial magnet program. Our school offers free breakfast to all scholars. We have many scholars that are below the poverty line and our classroom is their opportunity to shine! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges, to work together in small groups and individually! They come to school each day ready to be risk-takers by trying new things and learning from their mistakes.

My scholar enjoy activities that allow for them to work cooperatively with their classmates, think outside the box and challenge each other's mindset.

I would like to add more activities that can be used during indoor recess that would meet the needs of all the learning styles in our room.

My Project

My scholars have been such good sports when it comes to a lack of games and activities for indoor recess. I just moved to 4th grade so many of the board games that I had do not appeal to them. We have received a few games as gifts and the scholars have done an amazing job at taking turns and sharing so everyone has the opportunity to play with them.

I would love to see their faces light up when I tell them that we have a new rug that they can use to stay off the cold floor and more space to spread out to play brand new games.

I know they will love the chance to collaborate, compete and win at the new games provided by this project.
