My Students

They are growing and learning in the same small, tight-knit, school community that inspired me to be a teacher.

They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long, successful careers.

They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.

Education is a gift that no one can take away.

Reading is powerful fuel to learning. Reading is knowledge.

In class, we are all teachers and all learners.

My Project

Recess is a very important part of the school day. Children use their recess time to socialize with their friends, expend some of their boundless energy and have some fun. Recess also offers important breaks from concentrated classroom work, which allow students to be more attentive and more productive in the classroom.

A recess period filled with exciting activities helps the children stay fit and lifts their mood.

When they come in from recess they are ready to learn and focus. However, what are the options for recess when the weather turns bad and the children can no longer play outside?

Our classroom is in need of some board games, puzzles and other activities to do during indoor recess.

We need indoor recess options to ensure our recess time inside throughout the year is just as effective as our outdoor play time.
