Individualized Academic Goals With Binders, Sheet Protectors, and Skin-Tone Crayons
Help me give my students 3-ring binders and sheet protectors to create individualized academic binders, as well as Crayola Colors of the World crayons to decorate the binders and Kleenex tissues to start our year healthy and well.
My scholars are a creative and innovative group. My goal is to help them realize their potential by cultivating academic excellence and recognizing their individual strengths. While there have been many new challenges this school year as we navigate new ways of learning since the COVID-19 pandemic, my scholars are meeting these challenges with resilience, flexibility, and perseverance.
I'm requesting binders, sheet protectors, Kleenex and crayons.
As we navigate in a post-COVID-19 world, we are getting creative with the many ways we deliver instruction, and how students use our instructional space.
This may include lessons at our small-group instruction table, our rug, or even outside on the lawn on a nice day! We are doing all that we can to ensure that our use of instructional space maximizes the ability to social distance, and that shared spaces are frequently disinfected and sanitized.
With this goal in mind, I would like to create individualized academic binders for our scholars to work on during independent work time. My entire school is an inclusion school, which means scholars with a variety of academic, social, emotional, and medical needs are learning alongside their peers. We have a wide range of ability levels, and a ton of different academic and social learning goals, in each classroom.
This project will allow me to create individualized goal workbooks using 3-ring binders and page protectors, so that every scholar (whether general education or receiving special education support) can be successful and reach their unique goals in our classroom. The crayons will help my scholars create 'covers' for their work binders, and I've chosen Crayola Colors of the World crayons because it is important that our art supplies represent the scholars present in our room. Finally, the Kleenex tissues will be used to keep us safe and well when we have sniffly noses.
