My Students

Students walk into my classroom full of energy and ready to learn. Many of my students have challenges that stand in the way, making learning harder for them. I teach special education students from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. My school is in an urban area with about 70% receiving free/reduced-price lunch. Since I teach special education, I need hands-on, engaging ways to teach my students the curriculum. My students come into my classroom for help, sometimes feeling hopeful but other times feeling like failures. Each student has different academic needs, as well as different emotional needs.

My Project

In our classroom, we use whiteboards every day. The whiteboards and erasers will allow each student to have their individual boards and erasers. Our current ones are falling apart and not enough for every student. The math whiteboards will be very beneficial to every student who has trouble organizing their math work.

By donating to my project, you will be helping special education students be more successful in their daily school assignments.

The light table supplies will allow my special education students was to complete math assignments in a more engaging way. The magnetic charts will allow precious classroom time to be saved by having the graphs allowed made and ready to teach on.
