My Students

Mighty Viking Scholars are future leaders, engineers and problem solvers. They come to school each and every day embodying our school's Moto, "Finding a Way, Vikings Don't Quit!"

Our school is a learning community where all students Work hard, achieve and inspire.

As a Title I school located in Southeast Washington, DC. Our scholars are 100% Free and Reduced Lunch and always looking for opportunities and access to fun and creative learning! We love working with partners from around the city, country, and globe!

My Project

During these unexpected times my school is trying to ensure equity and access for the opportunity to continue great math learning at home.

With these manipulative kits each student would have what they need to get the most out of their math instruction by being able to construct math concepts and compare concrete models to visual and abstract models.

We are hoping to take the important aspects of mathematics instruction to the virtual school we have created and in order to make this happen, concrete manipulatives are imperative in an elementary school students understanding of mathematics.
