In the book Indispensable: How to Succeed at Your First Job and Beyond, leadership development expert Meredith Whipple Callahan outlines how employees can maximize their potential in the workplace early in their careers.
This text aligns perfectly with our employability skills curriculum!
As a class, we will read and discuss the text, practicing the strategies provided. Students will take notes on the key concepts of each chapter and will get to apply the material learned directly to their internship experiences!
We will practice hands-on what students learn in the book about employability skills, including interviewing skills, job applications, resume writing, financial literacy/budgeting, functional reading, and writing skills.
