Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The large majority of the students are ESL. We are a Title I school with a specific demographic. The library here is small and could definitely use additional resources to purchase more current fiction and non-fiction material for the students to read. We are low on several series, as well. I would love to give these children access to more books that they want to read. We need your help to give the kids what they need and deserve!

My Project

The children are back in a working school library! This is such an exciting time for us. While we still follow our COVID policies and safety protocols, the children are able to check out books and bring them home to read and share with their families. We have had so many requests from our students on the topic of Indigenous Americans! So, we have put this Donor's Choose together in hopes that donors can help us nourish the children's minds with these amazing stories on our wonderful Native American Community.
