My Project
Indi Robots can make a significant different on my Title 1 campus with the Indi Robots for Hands-On Learning: Coding and creativity in Motion grant project by enhancing student engagement, building foundational skills, and supporting equitable access to STEM education. Indi Robots make learning fun and interactive, encouraging students to engage with challenging content through play and exploration. Many of my students face obstacles to academic motivation, these robots can foster a positive learning environment where students are excited to participate and explore STEM concepts.
My goal with this project is to enhance critical thinking and creativity, as well as foster collaborative learning.
I will use the Indi Robots to cultivate critical thinking and creativity by encouraging students to design and navigate their own robot paths and solve progressively challenging task. Within these task I will promote collaboration and teamwork by having students work together in small groups.
I plan to also us the Indi Robots to support learning in other subjects, such as math, literacy, and science. For example, students might use robots to follow story-based paths in language arts or to measure distances in math. These cross-curricular applications make learning more relevant and show students how technology connects to various aspects of their lives, reinforcing core concepts through hands-on exploration. Through the Coding and Creativity in Motion project, Indi Robots will make a lasting impact on my campus by providing equitable access to STEM education, boosting engagement, and equipping students with foundational skills and sense of possibility.
