My students need headphones for working on their Chromebooks daily. Also the earmuffs will help them to not get distracted by others while working independently.
I teach 7th grade Special Education. My students are mainstreamed into the general education classroom for the majority of the day. My students are in my room 2 hours of the day for working on school work, tests, quizzes and projects. Throughout the day I also have general education students working in my room. I am in the process of making my room into a very laid back atmosphere almost like a coffee shop feel. Students are more likely to work in an environment they feel comfortable in.
My Project
In this day and age technology is used daily in school. The earbuds I have picked out for my students will be used daily on websites centered around reading and math. Students will also be able to use the earbuds for testing purposes as well. Student take student growth tests throughout the year. Each student will be able to use the same headphones they are used to using. There are many apps we will be using for the students throughout the day. The noise cancelling muffs will be used to help students stay focused and not get distracted by others in the classroom. Some students struggle with getting distracted easily, the earmuffs will help prevent distractions. My student will make very good use of these supplies in my classroom. Each student will have their own set no need to share.
