This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My learners work mostly in the Learning Center to gain skills and knowledge that they need to make gains on their IEP goals. The hope is that these learners will eventually transition into their general education classes. In doing so, the learners will be with same-aged peers working on modified assignments.
Hands-on manipulatives provide independent practice after a skill has been taught.
These centers and other activities will go into a task box that the learners will get out, do the work, and put back all on their own! Learners will gain confidence and independence by utilizing task boxes.
