My Students
I work at an amazing school. Our community is close-knit, and many, like myself, grew up in our town. My students represent all different backgrounds, socio-economic status, and ethnicities. The staff works hard to provide meaningful instruction and memories that will last a lifetime.
My students are encouraged to be learners!
It's my goal to instill a love of learning through inquiry, exploration, and reading. I feel that books in their hands give them the greatest chance to go on an adventure, meet new people, or travel to faraway places.
My Project
One thing that I love about this resource is the individualized math activities. This year there has been a shift from sharing materials (naturally), so being able to provide a class with their own materials and manipulatives is great!
I want my students to have hands-on learning experiences in this rather different school year, and for that to happen, I need your help.
These activities would serve as independent centers, where students can practice math skills and check their own work. But best of all, they get to be tactile learners--physically building numbers, problem-solving, etc.
