My students are passionate, critical thinkers who are seeking opportunities for exceptional growth. Many of my students will be students learning English as a second language and have a diverse, unique set of experiences that enrich our classroom and school community.
In second grade, my students are learning to work independently and to take ownership of their own learning experience.
Students often spend time rotating through stations of independent work, student centered small group work as well as small group and one-on-one instruction with a teacher.
My Project
These tablets will be used to provide each student with adaptive technology in reading and math. Students will receive engaging, kinesthetic learning activities designed to meet their learning needs. Tablets will ensure that students are receiving a high-quality, personalized experience when I am teaching other students in small groups.
Like many children, many of my students thrive when they have access to the latest and greatest technology.
State of the art technology not only provides opportunities for my students to access learning, it also provides an opportunity for my students to share their knowledge. Because my students have diverse experiences from all over the world, technology ensures that I am not the only teacher in the classroom. They can be the teachers, too, and share what they know with each other, our school and the world!
