My Project
As a self-contained teacher, I teach a modified curriculum for students with intellectual disabilities. The materials included in this project will help me create accessible task box materials for my special education classroom. Adaptive materials are used for students that have limited verbal communication, visual impairments, and cognitive challenges. With these accessible task boxes students will be able to independently practice their life and vocational skills to prepare for life after high school and obtaining a job.
Students will independently utilize these task boxes daily.
Many of my special education students want a job and to be as independent as possible, and these materials will help me help them achieve their goals!
