it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"The key to everything is patience. You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it."
-Arnold H. Glasow
My students are in an urban district highest poverty, with every child receiving free lunch..
With a huge financial deficit, it makes it impossible to buy supplies directly through our school system. Many of my kids have learning disabilities as well. Hands on activities/learning materials will further develop their skills in life science class.
My Project
Students also get the opportunity to develop life skills such as teamwork, record-keeping, planning, and organization. This will incorporate the animal life cycle, the habitat of an animal, how ecology and the environment affect an animals behavior and why its important to understand what other animals need in order to survive.
The students will be able to with direct experience envision and create the life cycle of an animal.
It will allow my students to develop an understanding of biology through a first hand experience with living things, their life cycles, and their habitats.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
