This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The bean bags and rubber seats will excite the students about reading. The students will have a reading corner in the room. The manipulatives serve a double role.

First, some students will concentrate better on reading while using a manipulative.

Second, they will work well for a break time if the student is having issues focusing in class. They can calm down on the seats and read a book.

I want to instill the importance of reading to all students. Making the reading corner feel like a reward will help create a more interesting atmosphere for reading.
