This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to school every day to learn. They want to do well, but they are not always internally motivated to want to put out the effort to do so. Good grades and positive report card notes are not the "paycheck" that they're looking for during the week. My students need socially engaging experiences to help motivate them at school.
Students will gain exposure to team sports and will be able to further develop their social skills, strategic thinking, communication, and other team-building skills using the Nintendo Switch and accessories.
Our school is inclusive for students with disabilities. With these materials, we could provide more opportunities for all students to build friendships and work together. Moreover, we can motivate many students who find school to be difficult.
