Increasing Literacy in STEM With Dynamath Magazines

Help me give my students an increase their literacy skills and math vocabulary within real world contexts. They will also gain fluency in their STEM skills as they formulate mathematical arguments and ideas.

My Project

By reading Dynamath magazine in our math classroom, students will be able to increase thier knowledge across STEM related fields! Dynamath magazine will help students use multiple reading strategies, understand and use precise vocabulary, articulate math ideas and write math arguments. Scholastic's Dynamath has various graphs, tables, charts, and diagrams that will increase our exposure to various STEM topics. Overall, Dynamath will help open my students eyes to cross-curricular topics, STEM careers, real-world math practice but, most importantly, this magazine subscription will enhance their literacy skills and boost their math confidence!
